John Mulaney says Lorne Michaels isn’t a fan of Pete Davidson’s tattoos

“SNL” creator Lorne Michaels apparently thinks Pete Davidson might want to reconsider all the ink on his body.

During a question-and-answer session at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston this week following his stand-up set, Mulaney recalled a recent conversation he had with Michaels about Davidson’s numerous tattoos after the NBC exec asked how their tour was going.

“I said it’s good and he said, ‘He keeps getting tattoos and, you know, they’re coming up the neck. I get it if you’re a girl and it’s on your neck, or if you’re like a boy in the Army,’” Mulaney recounted (via People).

Later, a man in the audience asked Davidson and Mulaney who had a better anecdote about Michaels. Davidson said he saw Michaels shortly after Mulaney relayed his conversation about tattoos and recalled, “We were sitting down and Lorne goes ‘So, you have a tattoo of a wolf. Is that so you won’t forget what they look like?’” Davidson said, imitating Michaels.

In April, Davidson debuted a back tattoo that he received while watching “Game of Thrones.”

Eventually, the 25-year-old is going to run out of room for his ink; he’s had to cover many tattoos dedicated to ex-girlfriends Cazzie David and Ariana Grande but has also continued to add new body art, including a giant unicorn that spans the length of his forearm.
