Actress Lori Loughlin and her husband are pleading not guilty in the college admissions bribery scam, according to new court documents.
The “Full House” star and her fashion designer hubby Mossimo Giannulli entered the pleas in court filings Monday alongside several other parents charged in the case, saying they waive their right to appear for an arraignment.
The couple are facing up to 40 years behind bars on charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering for allegedly paying college prep adviser William “Rick” Singer $500,000 to bribe their daughters’ way into the University of Southern California as bogus crew recruits.
Prosecutors claim their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, had never even competed in the sport – but their parents submitted photos of them on rowing machines to bolster their phony athletic profiles.
Loughlin and Giannulli were among dozens of wealthy parents busted last month for allegedly taking part in Singer’s scheme – including actress Felicity Huffman.
The well-heeled moms and dads paid money into a sham charity run by Singer, and he then funneled bribes to crooked athletic officials or exam administrators to ease their kids’ way into top schools including Georgetown, Stanford, UCLA and Yale, prosecutors allege.
Last week, prosecutors announced that Huffman and 12 other parents arrested in the scandal had agreed to take plea deals.
But Loughlin and Giannulli have reportedly been reluctant to accept any deal that includes prison time.
