An anniversary screening of the beloved rom-com kicked off the film festival in Los Angeles at the TCL Chinese Theater, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“I remember reading the script in like 40 minutes. It’s a fast, funny, hilarious read and there’s a type of music to it, and looking back it’s a type of music that Billy and I somehow knew how to play together, and Rob and Nora knew how to play together,” Ryan, 57, said during the event’s panel discussion of director Rob Reiner and writer Nora Ephron.

However, Crystal, 71, isn’t too sure if the film could be made in 2019.

“This would be a movie that would be very hard to make today,” he said. “I mean who would take a risk on two people basically talking throughout the whole movie?”

They also discussed the iconic orgasm scene at Katz’s Deli where Reiner’s mom, Estelle, played a nearby customer who said the iconic line: “I’ll have what she’s having.”

When Rob first demonstrated what he wanted for the scene, he recalled being quite embarrassed in the presence of his mother.

“I said ‘Billy, I just had an orgasm in front of my mom’.”
