Lena Dunham applauds ‘sober queens’ Wendy Williams and Lala Kent

Lena Dunham, who recently revealed her own sobriety after a dependency on prescription pills, is sending her love to fellow “sober queens” Wendy Williams and Lala Kent.

“First Lala Kent now Wendy Williams- so proud of all these strong sober queens,” the “Girls” star wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. “It’s a bumpy path for us all, but admitting you need help is the beginning of true freedom. Sometimes it’s stronger to be weak for a moment.”

On Tuesday, Williams, 54, revealed on her talk show that she has been living in a sober house. She had previously been candid about her past battle with cocaine and crack.

“Vanderpump Rules” star Kent, 29, disclosed on Sunday that she is an alcoholic and is seeking help from Alcoholics Anonymous.

In October, Dunham, 32, said she had been “misusing benzos.” “I’ve been sober for six months,” she said on Dax Shepard’s Arm Chair Expert podcast. “It stopped being, ‘I take one when I fly,’ and it started being like, ‘I take one when I’m awake.”
