Lady Gaga’s stylists top Hollywood’s most powerful list

Lady Gaga‘s stylists, Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, are taking over Hollywood.

The pair behind the pop star’s show-stopping red carpet looks while promoting “A Star Is Born” have landed the top spot on The Hollywood Reporter’s annual list of “The 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood.”

This marks the first time the duo have ever snagged a place on the publication’s list. Kate Young, who dresses A-listers like Dakota Johnson, Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez, has held the top title for the past three years straight.

But thanks to Gaga’s spectacular awards show season featuring an endless parade of enormous gowns — from her feathery pink Valentino gown at the Venice Film Festival to her custom black McQueen at the Oscars — it’s clear how Erebout and Amador accomplished this coup.

According to THR, those on the list are chosen based on “the red carpet looks that comprise the work of industry image-makers are evaluated over awards season, from Cannes to the Oscars. The weightiest factors are star power, style and social media — whose A-list clients are driving the conversation in the $2.4 trillion fashion industry, and whose looks are consistently topping best-dressed lists.”

Erebout told the publication that the hardest part of dressing the “Shallow” singer was “finding the middle ground: We wanted to deliver looks that were true to her — the element of surprise — and capture movie star magic.”
