Constance Wu was the Belle of the ball at the 2019 Oscars.

The actress, 36, hit the red carpet on Sunday night wearing a bright yellow Versace gown that channeled the “Beauty and the Beast” heroine, inspiring many on social media to remark on the striking similarities between the two.

“CONSTANCE WU BEING THE BELLE WE DIDNT DESERVE BUT NEEDED,” one Twitter user shared; added another, “Constance is our one true Belle.”

“Remake beauty and then [sic] beast starring Constance you cowards,” chimed in a third.

Wu paired her custom off-the-shoulder dress with matching Neil J. Rodgers platform sandals and Atelier Swarovski fine jewelry. She kept her hair sleek in a simple ponytail and her makeup natural.

The “Fresh off the Boat” star touched on the importance of “Crazy Rich Asians” in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on the carpet. “It was kind of historic. For someone like me, who is Asian-American, I had grown up never seeing a major network or major studio tell a story that centered [around] my experience,” she said.

“To be something like that for young women today, to let them know that they can be heroes of their own stories and their stories are worthy and interesting and people want to know them … That has been so meaningful to me. That’s why it’s been so important to me.”

Perhaps the actress, who will be presenting during tonight’s show, purposefully channeled the Disney princess; she twirled and posed for the camera in a similar way.
