Meg Ryan hasn’t been to Katz’s Deli since filming ‘When Harry Met Sally’

Meg Ryan has been going somewhere else for a deli sandwich, or she’s just not that excited about it anymore.

The rom-com queen, 57, revealed to the New York Times that she hasn’t been back to New York’s iconic Katz’s Delicatessen since she filmed “When Harry Met Sally” in the late ’80s.

In the film, Ryan’s character famously sits across from Billy Crystal’s character — who’s eating the deli’s beloved pastrami sandwich — and imitates faking an orgasm at a high volume.

“It was in the script that Harry and Sally talk about the fact that women fake orgasms,” she told the Times. “Then, when we were rehearsing that movie, we had a lot of time to chat about the script, and I said that since Sally is such a behavioral character, she should fake an orgasm. That was my contribution.”

The table at which they sat has since become a landmark inside the deli.

Katz’s didn’t immediately return our request for comment.
