Kenya Moore and husband Marc Daly welcome baby girl

Mom’s the word for Kenya Moore.

On Sunday, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum welcomed her first child with husband Marc Daly, daughter Brooklyn Doris.

“Brooklyn is very alert and active,” Moore, 47, told People of her baby girl, who arrived at 9:39 a.m. and weighed in at 5 pounds 12 ounces.

“She’s so perfect and strong! Marc was incredible in the delivery room,” the new mom also gushed on Instagram. “I lost a lot of blood so I’m very weak but they both were strong for me.”

In the days leading up to her daughter’s birth, Moore revealed she had been diagnosed with preeclampsia, “a pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure and signs of damage to another organ system, most often the liver and kidneys,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Despite the complication, Moore said she and her family of three are doing fine.

“We are blessed and doing well. My heart is so full at the abundance of love for our family! We love you all,” she shared.

Moore also revealed the inspiration behind her bundle of joy’s unique name.

“Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” she said.

Moore and Daly wed last year.
