‘House of Cards’ cast reportedly pulls out of ‘Megyn Kelly’ appearance

Cast members from the next season of “House of Cards” have reportedly pulled out of an appearance on Megyn Kelly’s television show amid backlash over her defense of wearing blackface on Halloween.

Stars from the popular Netflix show were set to appear on NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today” but backed out after the controversial comments, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Kelly sparked outrage on Tuesday when she defended using the costume makeup during a panel discussion with Jenna Bush Hager, Jacob Soboroff and Melissa Rivers.

“You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was okay just as long as you were dressing as a character,” Kelly said.

Kelly’s rating have been sluggish and sources said her days at the network could be numbered.
