The iconic “Friends” role of Rachel Green was almost played by “Saved by The Bell” actress Tiffani Thiessen instead of Jennifer Aniston.
Thiessen, who’s promoting her new cookbook “Pull Up a Chair,” revealed the interesting tidbit on Nikki Glaser’s SiriusXM show this week.
“I was just a little too young,” the actress, known for playing Kelly Kapowski, said. “I was a little too young to the pairing of the rest of them.”
Thiessen, who’s 44 years old now, was 20 when the first episode of “Friends” aired in September 1994. Aniston was 25 at the time.
Thiessen went on to star as Valerie Malone on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” while Aniston joined the cast of “Friends” alongside Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
The “Alexa and Katie” actress says Aniston was “very, very funny” in the role.
