Meghan Markle may be making headlines with her pricey designer wardrobe, but her sister-in-law Kate Middleton prefers to fall back on her old fashion favorites.

On Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, attended her first royal engagement since the birth of her son Prince Louis, visiting the Sayers Croft Trust Forest School and Wildlife Garden in Surrey in an appropriately outdoorsy outfit.

Along with an army green jacket ($200) and sweater ($150), both by Fjällräven, and moto-style denim, Middleton wore her favorite flat footwear: Penelope Chilvers’ Long Tassel Boot (£475, or about $617).

The mother of three has owned the boots for 14 years, according to People, and has worn them for no fewer than four other royal appearances, including a November 2017 visit to a London school, a 2016 hiking trip in the Himalayas and the 2004 Game Fair held at Blenheim Palace.

And as Middleton surely knows, it’s all about the cost per wear.
