They really are a “Modern Family.”
A day after Eric Stonestreet‘s 47th birthday on Sept. 9, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sarah Hyland‘s belated wishes didn’t go unnoticed.
“I forgot to wish my sweet TV husband and real life friend @ericstonestreet a happy birthday yesterday!” Ferguson captioned an Instagram post of the duo Monday. “Please accept this actual photo of me holding a birthday flag (‘What did you call me? Oh.’) as an apology. ❤️ you Eric!”
To which Stonestreet responded, “It’s okay, @jessetyler. Noted, but okay.”
Apparently, Hyland’s late social media message didn’t go over well.
“And a very happy belated birthday to @ericstonestreet from the Dunphy offspring!! I forgot,” Hyland, who plays Stonestreet’s TV niece, shared, adding: “I’m sorryyyyyy.”
Stonestreet commented, “Thank you sweetness. and also, noted.”
Thankfully, Sofia Vergara redeemed the “family” and posted a birthday message — a goofy photo where Stonestreet caught Vergara sleeping on set — on the right day.
