The Daily Front Row’s annual awards during Fashion Week hit a few snags on Thursday — including one on the back of Nicki Minaj’s dress that saw her rip into her team.
We hear Minaj tore her feathery purple dress down the back as she posed in front of photographers camped outside the swanky Park Hyatt.
“Once she got upstairs, she was yelling at her team,” said a spy. “I don’t think she realized how bad it was.” We’re told the rapper was screaming, “My ass was out the whole time! How the f - - k did this happen?”
Minaj then ordered a minion to “go down there and tell the paps not to use those photos.”
For the rest of the event, Minaj had a male assistant walk behind her to hold the look together, including when she went onstage to present an award to model Winnie Harlow.
But that wasn’t the only pickle Minaj got in.
The rap star arrived 45 minutes late, leaving fashion heavyweights like Carine Roitfeld, Tommy Hilfiger, Stefano Tonchi, Gigi Hadid and Paris Jackson to stew in their seats. While the awards were scheduled to end at 7:30 p.m., they didn’t start till 7:15.
Minaj was fashionably late earlier this week, turning up at the Elle magazine, E! and IMG party just two minutes before it was over.
Another snafu at the glam Daily event happened when Amy Schumer’s speech introducing Ashley Graham didn’t show up on a teleprompter.
“Right now, it just says, ‘Ashley’s speech,’ which, not to spoil it, she’s just gonna say thank you,” Schumer cracked.
The comic went on to talk about the plus-size model’s impact on the fashion industry, saying, “Not because all of a sudden you guys became good people” — adding it was about money.
Though most said it was a fabulous evening, Schumer bolted out the door right after her speech, with Graham waving her out, saying, “I know this is like your personal hell.”
