Insiders at NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today” are quietly celebrating a modest victory, we’re told, after the long-ailing show began to add some viewers.
The much-heralded talk show — which airs during the “Today” show — had seen historically low ratings after its launch in September 2017.
But the latest numbers from Nielsen show host Megyn Kelly up 1 percent from this time last year, and up 5 percent from the same time last week.
“It’s been steadily climbing,” said a source. It may not sound like much, but we’re told that with ratings down all over the TV schedules, show insiders see any kind of increase as a “positive sign” that the show is “gaining momentum.”
A rep confirmed the ratings growth.
