Presidential hopefuls head to the Hamptons

Out in the Hamptons this summer, Democratic power players are being hit up for money by a revolving door of national pols looking to the midterm elections — and potential presidential runs.

California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who’s in the race for California governor, appeared at a Manhattan fund-raiser Wednesday — co-hosted by Bravo’s Andy Cohen — before heading to an East Hampton event Friday.

The $5,000-per-couple dinner was held at the home of Liz Robbins and former WABC anchor Doug Johnson.

Sunday in Sagaponack, Benjamin Ringel is hosting a brunch for New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker with tickets going for up to $5,400 per person.

Meanwhile, Lisa Rosenblum will host an East Hampton brunch Aug. 19 for Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin and New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. (There will also be an area cocktail event with Baldwin the night before.)

Last summer, we reported that rising Democratic California senator star Kamala Harris was hitting the Hamptons to meet with power players including top execs from Citigroup and PepsiCo. According to a source, pols are attending fund-raisers — but having fewer private one-on-one meetings.
