‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ star Linda Hunt on the mend after car wreck

NCIS: Los Angeles” star Linda Hunt is recovering following a car accident earlier this week.

The actress, 73, was driving her black BMW SUV in Hollywood on Monday, when she reportedly collided with two cars while trying to make a left turn, according to TMZ.

Witnesses told the website that the actress looked shaken up after the accident, and after being examined by paramedics it was determined she needed to be taken to the hospital.

In a statement to CBS2 Los Angeles, Hunt explained that despite the hospitalization, her injuries were not serious.

“[Monday] I was involved in a minor traffic accident and taken to the hospital,” she said. “I’m pleased to report I’m recovering well and have no serious injuries. Thank you for all the well wishes! I’m looking forward to starting production on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ later this summer.”

TMZ reported that the other drivesr suffered minor injuries.

Hunt has been a fixture on “NCIS: Los Angeles” since it premiered in 2009. She also won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1983 for her role in “The Year of Living Dangerously,” becoming the first actor to win the award for playing a person of the opposite sex.
