The 13-year-old son of tough-as-nails actor Harvey Keitel was attacked in Tribeca on Tuesday by two teenage bullies, police sources said Wednesday.
“Get off the bike right now,” one of the hoodlums barked at Keitel’s youngest son Roman after they approached the boy at Varick Street near Franklin Street around 5:30 p.m. – mere blocks away from the family’s penthouse, sources said.
Roman and the two boys — whom the award-winning actor’s son told cops he knows — then got into a dispute, according to sources.
The young victim was punched in the face and had his glasses broken before his attackers ran off, leaving Roman’s bicycle behind, sources said.
Roman suffered scratches on the right side of his temple and he was treated at a hospital and released, according to sources.
“He was punched in the nose, causing bruising, swelling and complaints of pain,” a source said.
The boy and his mother — 57-year-old Canadian actress Daphna Kastner, Harvey Keitel’s wife — later reported the fight to police at the 1st Precinct, sources said.
Harvey Keitel, 79, a Brooklyn native who grew up in Brighton Beach, has appeared in numerous films, including “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Taxi Driver” and “Mean Streets.”
The famed actor has two other children – daughter Stella, 32, who he had with “Goodfellas” and “The Sopranos” star Lorraine Bracco, and son Hudson, 17, who he had with ex-girlfriend Lisa Karmazin.
Harvey Keitel married Kastner in October of 2001.
