Pauley Perrette alludes to physical assaults

Pauley Perrette has alluded to being a victim of physical assault.

“I’ve been supporting anti-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME!” she tweeted on Sunday. “If it’s school or work, that you’re required to go to? It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.”

The actress was vague about the alleged incidents and did not mention her longtime role on “NCIS,” but her Twitter spree was posted only a few days after her final episode of the show, leading to speculation that she was referring to “NCIS” and her departure.

“Maybe I’m wrong for not ‘spilling the beans’ Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost? I.don’t know,” she tweeted on Sunday, without specifically naming the CBS series. “Just know, I’m trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn’t the right thing about crime. I’m… Just… ?”

When reached for comment about her tweets, Perrette’s rep told Page Six, “I have no comment on the Pauley Perrette tweets nor does she other than what she writes there.”

Perrette cited false tabloid articles as one of the reasons for her to come forward now, claiming there is a “machine” keeping her silent and “feeding false stories” about her.

“No morals, no obligation to truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it,” she cryptically tweeted, not naming any names.

Perrette tweeted last year that she made up her mind to depart “NCIS” nearly a year before that, writing: “NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME! … I love (character Abby) as much as you do.”

Two days after Perrette’s Twitter spree, CBS Television Studios released a statement acknowledging a “workplace concern” that had been resolved.

“Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on ‘NCIS’ and we are all going to miss her,” CBS Television Studios told us. “Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”
