Scott Baio and wife are trained to save lives

When there’s a dangerous situation, call 911 … and Scott Baio.

The “Happy Days” alum and his wife Renee responded to the wildfires plaguing their California neighborhood by receiving extensive training on fires, earthquakes and terrorist attacks, the couple told The Blast. Their homeowners’ association recommended that about 12 people become community emergency response team (CERT) members, so Scott, Renee and their 10-year-old daughter Bailey attended seven 2-hour classes held at the LAPD Topanga Division.

The Baio family learned how to triage injuries after an accident, light search and rescue, team organization and basic medical procedures like executing a tourniquet, The Blast reported. Some of the Baios’ training also included what to do in the event of active shooters or terrorist attacks.

Scott told the publication he “really appreciates law enforcement for all that they do,” including investigating the sexual harassment claims against him leveled by “Charles in Charge” co-star Nicole Eggert.

He addressed the ongoing investigation, saying he understands the police have a job to do and they’ll “do it properly.”
