‘World News Tonight’ tops Lester Holt’s ‘Nightly News’ ratings

After Page Six reported that NBC brass are getting nervous about Lester Holt’s ratings, it has emerged that his rival has struck another blow.

The Wrap reported that ABC’s “World News Tonight” with David Muir topped Holt’s “Nightly News” for the first time in nearly two years.

The industry site said Muir “won March 5-9 in the key 25-54 demographic, the 18-49 demo, and total viewers,” adding that “ordinarily, it is the main demo that alludes” ABC.

Last month we reported Holt’s bosses are beginning to sweat, and — due to its various crises — NBC doesn’t have an obvious replacement, should Holt’s slide continue to terminal territory.
