Justin Theroux hangs with puppies after Aniston split

Despite his impending divorce from Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux still has a lot of love in his life — puppy love, that is.
The “Leftovers” star posed with some adorable pooches to raise awareness for Austin Pets Alive.
“Texas!!! Another very inspiring visit with the incredible people and pups @austinpetsalive. I cannot understand how they do what they do, day after day, so consistently and lovingly to save so many dogs and cats,” Theroux, 46, wrote on Instagram late Sunday. “I HIGHLY recommend going in and getting your nose bit by a toothless baby pitbull.”
Theroux also tagged Texas native Selena Gomez in a hashtag on his post, writing, “#selenagomez
#Yeahthatsrightselenaididittoyouagainbutifyousawtheseguysyouddowhateveryoucouldtooalsoiknowyourechilllikethat.”
The actor and screenwriter has been vocal about his love of rescue dogs. In September 2017, Theroux posted a photo with a pitbull named Erin from New York’s Best Friends Animal Society, encouraging his followers to adopt and not shop.
In August 2017, Theroux urged fans to support Austin Pets Alive’s efforts to rescue and re-home pets that were left stranded after Hurricane Harvey. He also promoted the Clear the Shelters campaign that same month, admitting, “Animals and pets mean more to me than most people mean to me.”
Theroux’s love for four-legged friends isn’t limited to dogs, either. He also endorsed kitten adoption in July 2017 for the North Shore Animal League. He’s also supported the ASPCA, from which he adopted his beloved pitbull, Sophie, in 2012.
Theroux himself has been the proud owner of seven rescue dogs throughout his adult life.
