Charlize Theron says Paris Jackson got movie gig ‘fair and square’

Paris Jackson didn’t get any preferential treatment when it came to landing her first movie role, her “Gringo” co-star Charlize Theron claims.

“It came about in an interesting way,” Theron, 42, told Extra about Jackson. “It was actually written very different. It was actually written for a young male. We had heard that she was interested in acting and Nash [Edgerton] met with her and said, ‘I think she’s really good.’”

Jackson, 19, who was recently spotted at a marijuana dispensary, is just getting her acting career underway. She filmed several episodes of “Star” in 2017.

“She really got the part fair and square,” Theron added. “There were no favors involved. She auditioned for it, she came in and was super professional and she really killed it.”

Jackson’s team has been working around the clock to make her a star. From placing her with the right people for photo opportunities to nabbing magazine covers, her rise to fame is highly calculated.
