Hamptons Magazine editor-in-chief steps down

After a long tenure, Samantha Yanks has stepped down as editor-in-chief of Hamptons and Gotham magazines.

Publisher Modern Luxury told Page Six in a statement that Anetta ­Nowosielska, an East Hampton resident who most recently edited Styled Magazine, will take over the top spot at Hamptons mag.

Sarah Bray, a style writer for Town & Country will edit Gotham.

Bray will also serve as style and social director for Hamptons and is due to start the gig on March 5.

Social fixture Yanks, who has led both magazines since 2005, said, “After 13 years at the helm of the most robust lifestyle magazines in the Hamptons and New York City, I have decided to move on to some entrepreneurial endeavors.”

Sources tell us she is launching a branding, event and strategic agency called Samantha Yanks Creative, and is working on a book to be published this fall.

It’s the latest in a series of changes at Modern Luxury magazines.

Jared Shapiro stepped down as editor-in-chief of its Miami title, Ocean Drive, in November to start branding, marketing and communications company the Tag Experience.
