Yes, Andrea Zuckerman is the president of SAG

If you watched the 2018 SAG Awards and wondered where you knew the SAG-AFTRA president from, now you know.

Gabrielle Carteris is on her second term as the president of SAG-AFTRA after being reelected in August 2017, Variety reported.

Carteris, 57, is best known for her role as school newspaper editor Andrea Zuckerman on “Beverly Hills, 90210” from the 90s.

Since then, she’s kept busy with mostly voice work and bit parts on television, as well as her duties as SAG-AFTRA president, which include tackling sexual misconduct in the industry.

“This movement is not meant to go away and is not just a moment in time,” Carteris told Variety in December 2017. “I actually think this has empowered people who have felt isolated. It doesn’t mean everyone is coming forward. But this really has been a time where the feeling of isolation and abandonment for victims may have been reduced. To be alone in pain in that situation is difficult. I hope that people would feel more able to come forward.”

Another SAG-AFTRA president you may have recognized: William Daniels, who starred as Mr. Feeny on “Boy Meets World,” served as president of the organization from 1999 to 2001.
