Don Cheadle puts California pad back on the market

No “House of Lies” here. Actor Don Cheadle and his wife, actress Bridgid Coulter, have put their renovated Venice, CA, home back on the market at a new price, according to Variety.

The beautiful residence near Marina del Rey was transformed from an 800-square-foot bungalow to a 2,400-square-foot, steel-clad contemporary.

According to property records, the couple snapped up the home for $894,000 in 2014. They put the pad on the market two years later, trying several price points before landing at $2.38 million. The three-bedroom, three-bath home is now back on the market at a slightly more optimistic $2.45 million.

The cool casa is located in an area known as the Venice Oxford Triangle, which is close to the lively shops and restaurants of Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

The open layout on the main level includes 10-foot-high ceilings, dining and living spaces, and a chef’s kitchen with marble countertops, high-end appliances and a walk-in pantry. The floors are French oak.

A family room off the garden could be turned into another bedroom. The master suite is on the second level and comes with a private balcony. The rooftop deck is covered with artificial turf, which is easy to maintain. The garage is currently being used as an art studio, but could be converted back.

High-tech updates to the urban oasis include security cameras controlled with an app, and integrated speakers in the master and great room.

While this seems like the kind of home in which celebs would want to hang out, Variety notes that the couple have likely never used the house as a full-time residence. They already own a home in Santa Monica Canyon.

When not dabbling in real estate, the 53-year-old actor is saving the world as Col. James Rhodes in the Marvel cinematic universe. He will appear in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War.”
