Ronan Farrow splits from Hollywood power agency

Ronan Farrow left Hollywood power agency CAA, Page Six has learned, after Harvey Weinstein reportedly tried to interfere with Farrow’s exposé on him by storming into the office of a CAA partner.

The New York Times reported this week that in mid-September, when Farrow was writing his first bombshell piece on Weinstein’s alleged sexual misconduct, Weinstein “stormed into” the office of CAA honcho Bryan Lourd to complain.

Lourd reportedly tried to arrange a meeting between Farrow and Weinstein, then wrote to Weinstein, according to the Times: “This guy won’t meet right now . . . He did say he will call you soon. I think he is absolutely pursuing the story.’’

The resulting blockbuster piece published in October became the New Yorker’s most read of 2017.

We hear Farrow left CAA, after the piece came out, to sign with WME. (However, a source said the split was “amicable,” and not because of Lourd. “He just wanted a clean break.”)

We hear there’s heated interest in publishing circles for Farrow to pen a Weinstein book.

But a spokesperson told us: “Right now, Ronan is very focused on his ongoing investigative reporting for the New Yorker, and on his next book, ‘War on Peace: The End of Diplomacy and the Decline of American Influence,’ which will be published in the spring.

“There is certainly more to say about this important moment we are in, but he hasn’t made any final decisions.”

New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey just sold a book on Weinstein to Penguin Press.
