DMX parties despite possibly facing five years in prison

Pleading guilty to tax fraud on Thursday, and possibly facing up to five years in prison, didn’t keep rapper DMX from having fun and blowing off steam later that night.

The “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” star, who was arrested in July on charges that he withheld $1.7 million in taxes from 2010 to 2015, performed for GoldBar owner Shaun Rose’s birthday at the nightclub in front of guests including “The Wire” actor Michael K. Williams.

“He didn’t go on until 3 a.m. Friday morning, and his entourage took up the whole VIP,” says an attendee.

DMX will be sentenced on March 29 and is looking at up to five years in the slammer and $100,000 in fines. He has also agreed to repay the IRS in full.
