‘House of Cards’ production delayed again

The restart of production on “House of Cards” – starring accused sex abuser Kevin Spacey – has been pushed back another two weeks.

In a letter sent to cast and crew, producers said the Netflix series’ filming hiatus would extend until at least Dec. 8, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Netflix already announced that the upcoming season would be the show’s last – after about 15 reports from young men that Spacey had sexually assaulted or attempted to rape them. Spacey is expected to be written out of the final season.

“These last two months have tested and tried all of us in ways none of us could have foreseen,” says the letter signed by Media Rights Capital senior vice president of television business and legal affairs, Pauline Micelli.

“The one thing we have learned throughout this process is that this production is bigger than just one person, and we could not be more proud to be associated with one of the most loyal and talented production cast and crews in this business.”

Micelli says another update will be provided by Dec. 8.
