Kim and Kris drop millions on Calabasas condos

Reality TV stars Kim Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner, have reportedly purchased multiple condos in a new luxury development going up in Calabasas, CAaccording to the Los Angeles Times.

Called Avanti, the complex bills itself as “an exclusive community of 72 luxury flats in the heart of Calabasas.” Flush with a multimillion-dollar contract renewal for their myriad reality shows on the E! network, the family members promptly pumped some of their cash into yet another real estate investment.

In a series of off-market deals, Jenner shelled out over $3 million for two residences, while Kardashian plunked down $1.6 million for her own unit.

While we don’t have specifics on the units they purchased, the listing provided by the development offers some clues. The residences will combine the “best of Calabasas,” with Italian-style architecture and design. The development appears as if it will offer high-end retail spaces mixed with residential living.

The property includes a pool, spa, private cabanas and an outdoor fireplace.Realtor.com

The units range from 2,000 to 2,600 square feet with private decks and balconies, semiprivate elevators and resort-style amenities, including a swimming pool, spa, private cabanas and an outdoor fireplace. Plus, there’s a fitness center, parking garage and clubroom.

Designed by Robert Hidey Architects, the development offers a variety of floor plans with prices that range from $1.45 million to $1.59 million. The location is steps from old town Calabasas shops and cafes, the Swim and Tennis Club and the Commons, an upscale retail and entertainment center.

Mother and daughter are familiar with the tony town of Calabasas. In fact, Kardashian and husband Kanye West are set up in nearby Hidden Hills in a luxury estate they bought for around $20 million and revamped.

Members of the Kardashian clan are certainly real estate wheeler-dealers. Kim’s first big deal happened in 2013, when she sold her Beverly Hills bachelorette pad for $5 million, including furniture, a tick more than the $4.8 million she paid for it three years before. Let’s call that one a learning experience.

She and West purchased a Bel Air mansion for $10.85 million a few years back, dubbed by E! News as their “dream home.” But it turned out not to be the case. After going through a renovation, the couple sold it for a whopping $18 million without ever moving in.

And let’s not even get into the many machinations of Kylie Jenner in the Calabasas area. It’s truly hard to keep up with this family.
