Angie Everhart: Weinstein masturbated in front of me

Former “Sports Illustrated” model Angie Everhart says Harvey Weinstein masturbated in front of her on a boat during the Cannes Film Festival over 10 years ago.

“This isn’t really easy to talk about,” she told TMZ on Friday. “I was on a friend’s boat. Harvey walked in, walked in front of me, took his pants down, did his thing, exited on the floor, if you know what I mean, pulled his pants back up, said ‘You’re a really nice girl. Don’t tell anybody about this,’ and left.”

She added that she had just arrived at the festival and went to take a nap when she awoke to find him standing above her.

“He was blocking the door,” she said, “I couldn’t get out.”

Everhart, 48, said she immediately told everyone what happened.

“I told people on the boat. I told people at the dinner I was at. Everybody was like, ‘Oh, that’s just Harvey,'” she explained. “When I talked about it before, nobody listened and now people are listening and … I’m glad people are listening so it doesn’t happen anymore because it’s not OK … This kind of behavior is not OK.”

After the incident, she steered clear of Weinstein, although she says she saw him all the time.

“There isn’t a single person who is anybody in this business who doesn’t know that Harvey Weinstein has been like that,” she said of celebrities who have been claiming not to know. “If they know Harvey, they know he’s been like that.”

Everhart continued, “It’s a very scary thing in Hollywood to come out and talk like this about somebody who’s as powerful as Harvey Weinstein. He got stories crushed and he could crush you. Even when I said it that night, nobody cared. I’m really glad this is happening.”

A number of women, including high-profile celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow, have come forward to accuse Weinstein, 65, of sexual harassment and assault after the New York Times and the New Yorker released exposés detailing decades of abuse from the Hollywood producer.
