Rose McGowan’s Twitter account temporarily suspended

Twitter temporarily suspended Rose McGowan‘s account for violating its rules following her tweetstorm against Ben Affleck.

“TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME. THERE ARE POWERFUL FORCES AT WORK. BE MY VOICE. #ROSEARMY,” the actress wrote Thursday on Instagram, alongside a screenshot of Twitter’s 12-hour suspension notice.

McGowan, 44, has been vocal – both on and off Twitter – following the bombshell allegations of Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassment.

The “Scream” star was paid $100,000 to drop sexual harassment claims against the embattled movie mogul in 1997, according to the New York Times.

She has since demanded the entire board of directors at The Weinstein Company resign and has gone after Weinstein ally Ben Affleck, claiming he lied about knowing Weinstein’s lurid behavior.

“Ben Affleck f—k off,” McGowan tweeted shortly after Affleck’s statement Tuesday.

She followed with, “@benaffleck ‘GODDAMNIT! I TOLD HIM TO STOP DOING THAT’ you said that to my face. The press conf I was made to go to after assault. You lie.”
