Injured Matt Harvey tips back tequila in the Hamptons

Matt Harvey is still enjoying his time off.

The Mets pitcher, who will be out several weeks with a stress injury to the scapula bone, was spotted in the Hamptons this past weekend with locals buzzing that he and a group of his bros rented an estate on Beach Plum Drive in Montauk.

Harvey and crew were spotted at the Surf Lodge on Sunday, and later at Swallow East for reggae night with live tunes.

Spies tells us the group mostly hung out at the bar, tipping back Don Julio 1942 tequila, Hendrick’s gin and tonics, and the always-classy vodka and Red Bull.

“They were there till about 10 p.m.,” says a spy, who also peeked at their bill. “Harvey left a $50 tip on a $156 check.”

Harvey was suspended in May after he skipped out on a game after guzzling drinks and partying with an entourage at 1Oak till the wee hours, as exclusively revealed by Page Six.

He then gave a heartfelt apology. The Mets were away in San Francisco over the weekend, so Harvey was not required to be with the team, but knocking back tequila may perhaps not be the best way to rest his “tired arm.”

His reps didn’t get back to us.
