Serena Williams’ dad’s estranged wife fights back in court

The estranged wife of Richard Williams, the famous father of tennis stars Venus and Serena, is fighting back following his recent petition for divorce.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, Lakeisha Williams denies all of Richard’s previous accusations – including claims she stole his Social Security checks and forged his name on a deed transfer, alleging there are witnesses and a notary who can corroborate his presence and consent. She also denies abusing alcohol and is willing to undergo random testing.

Elsewhere in the counter-petition, Lakeisha, 38, claims Richard, 75, exhibited both “hostile” and “abusive” behavior during their nearly seven-year marriage, which resulted in one son.

Lakeisha also fought back against Richard’s claim she stole his guns. She claims to have removed his AK-47, along with an arsenal of firearms, from their shared Palm Beach, Fla., home as a safety precaution since he “behaves recklessly and dangerously” with guns and they share a 5-year-old son, Dylan. The guns are available upon a court’s request.

Lakeisha, who has had limited work experience during their marriage, is seeking custody of their son, spousal support, child support and attorney’s fees. She also filed an injunction to prevent Richard from liquidating any bank accounts and selling off any assets they may share before they can be equally divided.

She is also asking Richard to obtain a life insurance policy on his life worth at least $3 million.

The former couple tied the knot on December 29, 2010 and Lakeisha agreed their union is “irretrievably broken.”

Richard is best known as the father and former tennis coach of tennis stars Serena Williams and Venus Williams. He split from the athletes’ mother, Oracene Price, in 2002.
