Sandy Hook families lash out at Megyn Kelly over interview

Families of the Sandy Hook school shooting victims are angry at NBC’s Megyn Kelly for her upcoming interview with Alex Jones, who has called the 2012 Connecticut shooting, in which 28 people died, a hoax.

The family of Vicki Soto — one of the teachers who was killed along with 20 children — posted a letter to Kelly on Facebook: “Alex and his followers have done nothing but make our lives a living hell for the last 4½ years.” Nelba Márquez-Greene tweeted a photo of her daughter who was killed, writing: “Here you go @megynkelly — her name is Ana Grace Márquez-Greene. Say her name — stare at this & tell me it’s worth it.”

Kelly was due to emcee the Sandy Hook Promise Gala in DC on Wednesday, but it is now believed she won’t attend.

An NBC source said, “Internally, there is a growing number of people that want to pull the interview.” Another insider said, “Journalists at NBC understand why it’s important to challenge someone as influential as Jones on his conspiracy theories.”
