Olivia Newton-John diagnosed with breast cancer

Olivia Newton-John has been diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time.

The “Grease” star explained that she will be delaying her US and Canada tour dates due to her diagnosis, but “will be back later in the year, better than ever,” in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

The 68-year-old singer, who battled breast cancer in the early 1990s, had been experiencing severe back pain during her current tour, which led her to cancel meet-and-greets for the month of June.

However, according to Tuesday’s announcement, the back pain “turned out to be breast cancer that has metastasized to the sacrum.”

In 2012, Newton-John created the Olivia Newton-John Wellness and Research Centre in Australia.

“I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia,” she said in the statement.

Newton-John will undergo “a short course of photon radiation therapy” in addition to natural wellness remedies.

Fans were instructed to check her website for rescheduled tour dates.
