While presenting a video montage at Wednesday’s Paley Center Honors, Julianna Margulies deviated from her prepared speech and took a jab at President Trump.
“Don’t you wish Trump sounded like that when he went off script?” the “Good Wife” actress said to an applauding crowd at Cipriani Wall Street. She also quipped, “He’ll be in a padded cell someday.”
Margulies was on stage to honor female actresses in TV dramas, including Mariska Hargitay and Chrissy Metz — both of whom were in attendance — and acknowledged that a Trump joke was inevitable at some point in the night.
“Someone had to do it, I’ll take the bullet. I don’t care,” she said.
