Anna Wintour’s daughter engaged to son of late Vogue Italia editor

Anna Wintour will soon be planning a wedding.

Her daughter Bee Shaffer is engaged to Francesco Carrozzini, the son of late Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, Page Six confirmed Tuesday.

Shaffer, 29, and Carrozzini, 34, first turned heads in October after she attended a screening of his documentary about his mother, “Franca: Chaos & Creation.” The event was co-hosted by Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue.

“Apparently, Bee and Francesco have been together for awhile,” an insider said in the fall.

Shaffer was previously linked to movie maven Ben Lyons, the son of film critic Jeffrey Lyons, and Carrozzini dated singer Lana Del Rey for 18 months before they called it quits in November 2015.

The only child of the legendary Sozzani, Carrozzini lost his mother in December following a yearlong illness. Wintour penned an emotional farewell to Sozzani on Vogue’s website after the passing, and also made mention of their children’s romance.

“After she became ill, I began visiting her at her home in Milan,” Wintour wrote. “Her mind and spirit were undiminished as we discussed every topic under the sun, from the fall of Matteo Renzi, to her amazing work with women in Ghana, to our children’s miraculous love affair.”
