Gov. Cuomo takes jab at his absent brother at luncheon

Gov. Andrew Cuomo teased his absent younger brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, as he presented the HELP Hero Humanitarian award to Joe Biden Thursday at the Plaza.

The gov noted that Chris was a no-show at the 30th anniversary of HELP USA, the homeless organization Andrew founded and which their sister Maria Cuomo Cole runs.

“And Chris only works three hours a day,” Andrew said. “That’s why Maria was my father’s favorite, I’m my mother’s favorite, and Chris is the least favorite.”

No one mentioned the hotel’s former owner, President Trump, but Biden warned the packed ballroom — which included Bryan Terrell Clark of “Hamilton” and Michael Dowling, the Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade — “There’s a change in the landscape out there, folks; so gov, you and I, and your sister, and everyone in this room have a lot of work to do.”

The former vice president, who was late coming from La Guardia, which he once dubbed a “Third World” airport, said, “I have to admit, I miss Air Force Two.”
