Mary-Kate Olsen opens up about married life in rare interview

Mary-Kate Olsen opened up about her private life with husband Olivier Sarkozy in a rarely personal interview with Net-A-Porter’s publication The Edit.

“I think [twin Ashley and I are] very lucky [working hard] comes quite naturally for us. We don’t need so much time to sit and think and ponder,” Mary-Kate, 30, explained. “But then I have a husband, two stepkids and a life; I have to go home and cook dinner.”

Sarkozy shares two children with ex-wife Charlotte Bernard.

Mary-Kate wed the 47-year-old French banker in November 2015. Following the ceremony, 50 guests celebrated with the newlyweds inside a private residence on Manhattan’s East Side, where attendees were allowed to smoke as they pleased as “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes” were scattered about the space.

The couple unwinds with the occasional Knicks game, and Mary-Kate, an avid equestrian, also seeks solace with — you guessed it — horses.

“I ride horses on the weekends,” she said. “You find the thing that helps you relax and if you don’t have it, you have to look for it. Or you get burned out and then you’re not productive.”
