Robin Thicke and Paula Patton close to settling custody war

Robin Thicke and his ex-wife Paula Patton have finally called a truce in their bitter custody dispute over their son, Julian.

The exes are now said to be on the verge of finalizing a settlement following months of high-profile legal spats.

The “Blurred Lines” singer and the actress, who divorced in 2015, have been at war over who will care for their little boy, who turns 7 this year.

But TMZ now reports the pair have called a truce and are close to confirming a deal to end the custody battle at last.

The report suggests they are working out the final details of their custody arrangement.

The stars were childhood sweethearts, but their relationship broke down in 2014 after 21 years together.

The split later turned nasty as they went to war over their son, and they headed to court to battle over a number of sensational allegations.

Patton alleged Thicke, 39, had used excessive physical force against the little boy. He lost joint custody and she was granted a restraining order to keep the pop star away.

Patton made a series of shocking claims against Thicke, including accusing him of making a scene outside her house late last year when she reportedly refused to let him see Julian.

She also claimed Thicke hit her and pushed her to the ground before threatening her in an alleged incident in April 2013.

In papers obtained by TMZ, it was alleged that Julian told teachers the pop star “spanked” him on numerous occasions, and that the school reported his comments to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services on Jan. 3.

Patton also accused her ex of cheating on her during their marriage, and taking drugs.

The singer’s time with Julian was limited to three visits a week that were supervised by a court monitor.

Thicke strongly denied the allegations, and in legal papers, his legal team insisted the singer and Patton agreed on punishment that was “consistent with the law.”

Court documents filed by his lawyers stated: “On a very rare occasion and only as a last resort, I will use light spanking, but it is consistent with the law – open hand on the butt. This is the type of discipline to which Paula and I agreed during our marriage. I have never exceeded age-appropriate discipline, and thus never been an issue, nor has it been raised by Paula previously.”

Investigators reportedly cleared the singer of any wrongdoing.
