It’s going to be a boy for Ryan Lochte and fiancée Kayla Rae Reid.
“I always wanted more than one kid and I definitely wanted a boy first so if we have a girl, the boy will be the big brother and take care of his sister so it’s working out perfectly,” the disgraced Olympian told CBS News in an interview published on Wednesday.
It sounds like the little guy will be a mini-Lochte (at least when it comes to fashion).
“I’m excited to change diapers, to dress up my kid in the same outfits as me and this is going to be so much fun,” the 32-year-old gushed, “It’s going to be awesome.”
He also revealed how he found out the big news.
After a “Dancing with The Stars” rehearsal, Reid told him she was pregnant and the swimmer didn’t believe her.
“I was like, ‘Ha, what? No you’re not. Stop lying,’ and she said, ‘Yeah, I am,'” he said, “And then it hit me and I was like, ‘Holy crap!’ and I immediately jumped up and gave her a big hug and I was like crying and saying, ‘I can’t believe this is happening. I’ve been wanting a family of my own for so many years and now it’s finally coming true.'”
The couple — who announced their engagement in October — fittingly revealed news of Reid’s pregnancy in a swimming pool photo via Instagram.
