A valuable figurine by Jeff Koons was accidentally destroyed at Design Miami on Tuesday.
The magenta miniature version of the artist’s iconic balloon dog was on display with two similar designs at porcelain-maker Bernardaud’s booth at Design Miami on Tuesday, with a suggested price of $8,000 to $9,000 — when it fell out of a mirrored display case.
A spy told the Observer, “The girl standing next to it had it cleaned up in five seconds.”
The Miami design fair runs through Sunday.
