“SNL” star Pete Davidson uses comedy to overcome tragedy.
“I totally relate to Richard Pryor when he said he used comedy to get over the pain,” Davidson told us.
The comedian lost his firefighter father on 9/11. At a recent Comedy Central roast, Davidson mercilessly ribbed guests — but others then made tasteless jokes about his late dad.
But, “When I do a roast, it is all in good fun. I am the one who started it, so it would kind of be lame if I got offended by someone talking about my dad,” Davidson said.
