Legendary restaurateur Sirio Maccioni made a triumphant return to his Le Cirque dining room after a year-long absence.
Maccioni — who has been recuperating after he fell at his villa in Montecatini, Italy, last summer — was back at the Upper East Side restaurant to celebrate his wife Egidiana’s birthday.
We’re told that “as soon as Sirio took his seat in the dining room, over which he presided for so many years, two old friends, Henry Kissinger and Michael Bloomberg — who were dining together — came over and wished the beloved couple well, as their sons, Mauro, Marco and Mario [who now run the business] looked on.”
