Lena Dunham slams the Met Gala — and Odell Beckham Jr.

Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham likely won’t return to the Met Gala in 2017 … especially not if Odell Beckham Jr. is attending.

The ladies lamented about the miserable time they had at fashion’s biggest night in Dunham’s Lenny Letter published Friday.

“You and I were literally sitting across from each other at the Met Ball, and it was like a crazy countdown to when we could escape. You were like, ‘We’re honored to be here. We’re honored to be here,'” Dunham, 30, told Schumer, 36, in the published conversation.

Schumer quipped that she left early, to which Dunham responded, “I attempted to grind my ass on Michael B. Jordan for an additional twenty minutes and then left right after you.”

One reason Dunham wanted to go home so badly: She thought she underwhelmed the New York Giants wide receiver.

“I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr., and it was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards,” she said. “He was like, ‘That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.’ It wasn’t mean — he just seemed confused.”

She continued, “The vibe was very much like, ‘Do I want to f— it? Is it wearing a … yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.’ It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bow tie. I was like, ‘This should be called the Metropolitan Museum of Getting Rejected by Athletes.'”

Dunham received a slew of backlash after the letter went viral as fans said she unfairly singled out the athlete since he hadn’t actually made any of those comments. Other users accused her of racism.

On Friday night, the “Girls” star tweeted a clarification: “@OBJ_3 is talented, stylish, seems super awesome and wasn’t into chatting with me at a fancy party. My story about him was clearly (to me) about my own insecurities as an average-bodied woman at a table of supermodels & athletes … It’s not an assumption about who he is or an expectation of sexual attention. It’s my sense of humor, which has kept me alive for 30 years.”

She added, “Glad the outrage machine roars on though, right @amyschumer? ps I’ll try and dance myself onto @michaelb4jordan if I have the chance, even when I’m a married grandma. I’m a red blooded str8 woman!”

Schumer was subtle and didn’t outright defend Dunham, writing, “Love you all. We will all learn and grow from this so we can focus on the problems together.”

Beckham Jr. hasn’t publicly responded.

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Schumer blasted the Met Gala by saying it “felt like a punishment” to attend the swanky event.
