Robin Wright successfully demanded to be paid the same as Kevin Spacey for the Netflix hit series “House of Cards.”
Wright, who plays First Lady Claire Underwood on the show, told the Rockefeller Foundation, “I was like, ‘I want to be paid the same as Kevin’ . . . There are very few films or TV shows where the patriarch and the matriarch are equal. And they are in ‘House of Cards’ . . . Claire’s character was more popular . . . I capitalized on that . . . I was like, ‘You better pay me or I’m going to go public.’ And they did.”
