Jean-Georges Vongerichten is taking over the restaurant at historic Hamptons hotel Topping Rose House this summer, Page Six can reveal.
Tom Colicchio opened the restaurant at the Bridgehampton landmark in 2012, but left in 2014.
A source tells us that Vongerichten recently struck a deal to take over the restaurant in time for this summer season, which will make it one of the top eateries for the wealthy Hamptons set.
Vongerichten has previously been spotted touring the property and its one-acre farm, followed by a tasting.
It was reported the current chef, Drew Hyatt, would likely stay on as chef de cuisine. Reps for Vongerichten didn’t get back to us.
