Don Cheadle isn’t a fan of directing films

Don Cheadle makes his directorial debut with “Miles Ahead,” about jazz great Miles Davis, which also stars Emayatzy Corinealdi, but says he won’t be getting behind the camera again soon.

“It was really tricky and really difficult, and I don’t know if I would ever do it again,” Cheadle, who also stars in the flick, told us at a Cinema Society screening at Metrograph. “Not in this way, this compressed schedule and at this budget level. It’s hard to have quality control and it’s really risky. You risk missing things. I am sure there are things I missed.”

Tony Bennett, Clive Davis and Sting attended the screening, with guests heading to an after-party at Aby Rosen’s new spot, the Blond, following the film.
