Lack of snow put ‘Hateful Eight’ production on hold

Making “The Hateful Eight” was a remarkable adventure for Harvey Weinstein, and not just because he was working with ever-unpredictable director Quentin Tarantino.

“We sat there for 30-some days while it didn’t snow,” Weinstein said at the Monkey Bar on Tuesday, regarding shooting the winter Western in Colorado.

The Hollywood liberal joked, “For any of the Republican candidates who do not believe in climate change, I’ll be more than happy to share the day-to-day reports, written as we sat there waiting for the bloody snow in a place where it’s supposed to be consistent.”

Also at the brunch for the movie were stars Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
