Tara Lipinski has some fancy new ice: an engagement ring.
The Olympic figure skater announced her engagement to boyfriend Todd Kapostasy, a Fox Sports producer, via Instagram on Tuesday.
“My life changed forever last night,” the gold medalist wrote alongside a smooching selfie. “I feel so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend and love of my life. I’ve had many monumental happy days in my life but this by far is my happiest.”
The 33-year-old’s beau shared a snap of his own, which was tellingly tagged at the Plaza Hotel, and said he’s the “luckiest guy on the planet right now.”
After Lipinski shared her big news, fellow skater and NBC announcing partner Johnny Weir took to Twitter to offer up congratulations — and some fashion advice: “And so it begins…searching my archives for @taralipinski wedding dress and I do believe @ToddKap should wear anything @TOMFORD 👦👰.”
